– Erica Rate poured in a game-high 23 points and
Ally Daniels tossed in 16 points to lead the Norwich University
women's basketball team past Lyndon State College by a score
of 94-49.
Rate, who matched her career high
with seven three-pointers in the contest, and Daniels each netted
14 points apiece in the first half alone to help the Cadets open up
a 50-29 lead at halftime. Christine Daniels chipped in 12 points
and eight rebounds for Norwich. Jess Jaggars pulled down a
game-high nine rebounds for NU and Natalie Marchese dished out a
game-high seven assists.
Lyndon State was led by
Danielle LaFont (Albany, Vt.) , who scored a
team-high 15 points. Kasey Steinmetz (Lebanon,
N.H.) added 12 points off the bench for the Hornets. Abby Fadden (North Haverhill, N.H.) had a team-high seven
rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots for the Lady
Hornets.
