Box Score PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.
- The Lyndon State College men's basketball team opened
its 2009-10 campaign with a 103-81 loss to Plattsburgh State in a
non-conference matchup. The Cardinals held a 52-35 advantage at the
half.
Steve Thomas led the scoring
charge for the Cardinals with 24 points on the day, including 15 in
the second half. Chris Ruiz posted 17 points for the winners, while
Errol Daniyan and Carl Munnerlyn contributed 13 each. P.J. Ponesse
had a team-high 10 rebounds for PSUC and Munnerlyn dished out six
assists.
For the Hornets, Jason Gray (East Thetford, Vt.) had 16 points and 12 rebounds
while Avery King (Pawtucket, R.I.) tallied 15
points and four assists. Dan Nichols (Bennington,
Vt.) chipped in 12 points off the bench for LSC.
