The Lady Mariners took a 1-0 lead in the 30th minute when Hutchinson gathered a combination of passes from Kelsi Eiane and Alexis Bennet, and blasted it with her left foot into the top left hand corner. MMA scored again in the 58th minute when Brogden finished off a pass from Callie Thompson to up the lead to 2-0.

Lacey Jackson recorded the win and the shutout for MMA making six saves on 10 shots. Samantha Smith (North Haverhill, N.H.) took the loss for the Hornets. Maine Maritime had 20 shots in the match while Lyndon State had 10.
