Box Score LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Lyndon State
was shut out by the University of Maine at Farmington by a score of
2-0 in North Atlantic Conference women's soccer action.
Leigh Ronald scored the first goal of the game for the Lady
Beavers, an unassisted tally at the 28:03 mark of the opening half.
Three minutes later, Alida Peake netted yet another unassisted goal
to close out the scoring in the contest.
Farmington goalkeeper McKell Barnes made three saves to get the
win and Lyndon State netminders Samantha Smith
(North Haverhill, N.H.) and Natalia Shams
(Swampscott, Mass.) combined to stop 10 shots in the loss. UMF
outshot Lyndon State by a margin of 22-8.
