Lyndonville, VT - Vermont State University Lyndon has announced several new assignments within its athletic department. Chief among those, Quinn Bressler has been named the Hornets' new Head Women's Soccer Coach and Athletic Operations Coordinator. Head Athletic Trainer Brianna Watson and Head Women's Basketball Coach Ribin Andrea have also taken on additional responsibilities within the athletic department. Two new graduate assistants, Jeffrey Blais and Braxton Hammond, have also joined the department staff.
Bressler is a December, 2025 graduate of VTSU Lyndon. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Management concentration and a Marketing minor. He was a four-year member of the Hornet men's soccer team and was selected as the team's captain in his junior and senior season. Bressler, an outstanding student who graduated with a 4.0 grade point average, was named the Outstanding Graduating Senior at Lyndon's May commencement. He was named to the North Atlantic Conference All-Academic Team all four years and to the NAC Sportsmanship Team three times. He was also a three-time winner of Lyndon's Green & Gold Award, given to the student-athlete with the highest GPA, and was Lyndon's Champions of Character honoree twice.
In addition to playing soccer, Bressler was also a student assistant with Lyndon's men's basketball program during his undergraduate years. Upon his graduation last December, he was promoted to Assistant Men's Basketball Coach and became an Assistant Men's & Women's Soccer Coach. He also began work toward a Master of Business Administration degree with an Athletic Leadership concentration and served as Lyndon's Athletics Graduate Assistant. Bressler was a member of Lyndon's Student Athlete Advisory Committee for three years and was the SAAC President during his senior year.
In addition to coaching the women's soccer team, Bressler will serve as Operations Coordinator for the athletic department. In that role he will manage game contracts, oversee game day operations, and handle various other administrative tasks. He will also be the new SAAC Advisor and will continue as an Assistant Coach with the men's basketball and men's soccer teams.
VTSU Lyndon Interim Senior Associate Athletic Director Cameron Curler believes that Bressler is the right person to move the women's soccer program and the department forward. "I am excited to be adding Quinn to our department in a full-time role. Having served as a captain for Lyndon Soccer, Quinn understands our student-athlete experience firsthand and has consistently demonstrated his ability to positively impact our students and department. I am confident he will bring that same leadership and commitment to this new role."
Watson arrived at Lyndon in September of last year. In addition to continuing as Athletic Trainer, Watson will become Lyndon's new Senior Woman Administrator. As the highest ranking woman on the Hornet staff, Watson will help to ensure that women will help shape the leadership and management of the department. She will represent VTSU Lyndon at the conference and national levels.
Andrea became Head Women's Basketball Coach and Intramural Coordinator in June of 2025. He now shifts from intramurals to Facilities & Scheduling Coordinator. In that role, he will have department-level responsibility for internal and external scheduling of Lyndon's athletic facilities, oversight of student workers, and coordination of hotels and travel.
Blais becomes the new Intramurals Graduate Assistant and will take over coordination of intramural programming from Andrea. Blais was a December, 2025 VTSU Lyndon graduate, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He was a four-year member of the Hornet men's tennis and soccer teams, and joined the Lyndon coaching staff last Spring as Assistant Men's & Women's Tennis Coach. He will continue in that role, and will also serve as an Assistant Men's Soccer Coach.
Hammond is Lyndon's new Strength & Conditioning Graduate Assistant. In that position he will serve as the Hornets's Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, working with all Lyndon athletes across 11 varsity sports to increase athletic performance and reduce injury. Hammond is a 2025 graduate of Heidelberg University in Tiffin, OH. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and holds certification as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength & Conditioning Association. He did a strength & conditioning internship at Tiffin University, working with the women's soccer, women's golf, softball, volleyball, and tennis programs. Last year he was the Basketball Strength & Conditioning Coach at Jackson High School in Jackson, OH. Hammond was a four-year men's lacrosse player and two-year team captain at Heidelberg.
Curler feels that the staffing additions and areas of responsibility will strengthen the entire department. "Between Bri Watson, Robin Andrea, and Jeffrey Blais, we have a strong group of individuals taking on new and expanded responsibilities, and I am excited about the opportunities these changes will create for our department. I am also thrilled to welcome Braxton Hammond to Lyndon. He will be a driving force in taking our Strength & Conditioning program to new heights. I look forward to the experience, energy, and commitment each of them will bring to our team!"
