Lyndonville, VT - Phoebe Crocker (Danville, VT) of the Danville School in Danviille, Vermont has deposited and committed to the Vermont State University Lyndon Women's Soccer and Softball programs for the 2026-2027 academic year. Crocker will come in as undeclared.
Crocker played 3 years of varsity soccer for Caledonia United. Caledonia United is a Vermont High School cooperative sports program comprised of student-athletes from Danville, Cabot, and Twinfield. Crocker, a talented defender for the program, was named an All-Mountain League Honorable Mention in 2024 and earned All Mountain League 2nd Team honors in the fall of 2025.
Caledonia United Head Coach Spencer Morse has seen a lot of growth in Crocker's game. "Phoebe is a soccer player who worked hard to go from being a sub with limited minutes to an integral starter on defense. She plays the game with a fearless attitude and toughness. I am excited to watch her use that determination and grit at the next level for Vermont State University Lyndon."
Lyndon Women's Soccer Coach Zach Blaser shares that excitement. "Phoebe will be a great addition to the program. Her aggressiveness both on and off the ball will help dictate our team's tempo in the defensive half. She has a positive attitude with everything she does and I am excited to have her on the team for this upcoming season."
In addition to being on the pitch in the fall, Crocker will also be suiting up for Hornet softball in the spring. Crocker played 4 years of Varsity Softball for Caledonia United, playing shortstop, pitching, and being used as a utility player throughout her 4 years. She earned First Team All Mountain League in 2024 as a utility player and followed that up with a All Mountain League 2nd team as a shortstop in 2025. Crocker is currently in the midst of her senior season with Caledonia United softball.
Beyond both soccer and softball, Crocker has been extremely involved at Danville. She was a 6-year member of Student Council, a 4-year band and chorus member, participated in Our Voices Exposed from 2023-2026 and participated in the Governors Institute of Vermont Summer Art program in 2024. She also played 2 years as a forward for the Danville Bears girls varsity basketball team and was named the 2025-2026 Unsung and Unselfish - All Floor Burn award for her team.
Jennie Moore, Head Coach of Caledonia United Varsity Softball is confident in what Crocker will bring to Lyndon's program. "Phoebe is consistently the hardest worker in the room. She understands how to support her teammates, use her voice to lead, and have some fun while doing it. Lyndon is lucky to have such a versatile and positive team member joining them."
Lyndon Softball Coach Antonia Peretti added on to those praises. "We're excited to welcome Phoebe to Lyndon softball. She's a talented multi-sport athlete with a strong work ethic and competitive mindset, and we're looking forward to the impact she'll have on our program both on and off the field."
Lyndon Women's Soccer and Softball are expected to announce additional commitments in the near future.
