Box Score 1 North Myrtle Beach, SC - Vermont State University Lyndon couldn't get anything going at the plate in Saturday's softball game against Mary Baldwin University. As a result, the Fighting Squirrels came away with a 15-0 victory over the Hornets to improve to 2-1 on the season. Lyndon remained winless in five outings. Later Saturday the Hornets fell to Monroe Community College, 7-5, in n exhibition game.

The Squirrels pounded out ten hits. McKenzie Tillman led the way with three hits and two runs batted in. Leadoff batter Leanna Rankin scored four times while Hadley May and Allison Crum drove in three runs apiece. Emily McCreery abd Taylor Schreck combined for the shutout.
Ann Watkins (Los Angeles, CA), Claudia Knapp (Howell, NJ), Seairra Anderson (Somersworth, NH), and Skylar Pepple (Chesapeake, VA) had base hits for Lyndon. Bailey Quire (Gainesville, GA) started in the circle and took the loss.

The Hornets will wrap up play at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic with a pair of games on Sunday morning. They will face Lancaster Bible College at 9:00 am, then take on Wilson College at 11:00 am before heading home.
