Lyndonville, VT - Lesley University led from start to finish, holding off a Vermont State University Lyndon rally to come away with an 82-69 North Atlantic Conference men's basketball victory over the Hornets on Friday evening.  The win was Lesley's first in nine conference outings and raised the Lynx overall record to 3-17.  Lyndon saw its modest three-game winning streak snapped and fell to 7-14 overall and 3-6 in the NAC.

Hezekiah Brown led the way for Lesley with 21 points and 12 rebounds.  Tarell Joseph and Tavon Rhodes chipped in 17 and 16 points respectively and Nathaniel Maldonado also reached double figures with 11 points.

Gregory Gonyea Jr. (Dolgeville, NY) was Lyndon's only double figure scorer, finishing with a game high 34 points.  Brett Roy (Newport, VT) pulled down eight rebounds for the Hornets.

Lyndon is off until Saturday, February 8th, when they host Vermont State University Johnson in another NAC contest.  That will be Senior Day, as the Hornets will recognize their senior and graduate student team members prior to tip-off.
