Nashua, NH - The Vermont State University Lyndon men's soccer team, down several players due to injury, traveled to Rivier University for a non-conference contest on Saturday afternoon.  The host Raiders scored 28 seconds into the game and never looked back, rolling to an 11-0 victory over the Hornets.  Rivier improved to 2-0-1 on the season while Lyndon fell to 0-2.
Arthur Dias and Andrew Berthiaume each scored twice to pace Rivier, as nine different Raiders found the net.  Berthiaume added a pair of assists.  Rivier dominated play, outshooting the Hornets, 40-2, and generating eight corner kicks to none for Lyndon.  Steven Swiderski and Geovanny Quintana combined for the clean sheet without being called on to make a save.
Carson Hughes (Oldtown, ID) and Gilbert Flores (Winsted, CT) had Lyndon's only shots.  D'Amecio Singleton (Savannah, GA) went the distance in goal for Lyndon.  He was credited with 17 saves.
Lyndon returns home next Sunday, September 15th, when they will take on Colby-Sawyer College in a 1:00 pm non-conference contest.
