Brookline, MA - Fisher College was in control throughout and went on to defeat Vermont State University Lyndon twice in Wednesday evening's volleyball doubleheader. The Falcons evened their overall record at 4-4, while the Hornets fell to 0-8 on the season.
Match 1 - Fisher 3, VTSU Lyndon 0
Fisher scored the first eight points of the match and never looked back. Alicia Tkach led the Falcons with seven kills. Adriana Franco recorded ten assists and Sofia Campos notched nine digs.
Charlotte Morris (Middletown, DE) had two kills for Lyndon. Kazandra Gonzales (Norwalk, CA) added two assists and seven digs.
Match 2 - Fisher 3, VTSU Lyndon 0
The nightcap was more of the same, with Fisher in control throughout. Caroline Saucier had eight kills for the Falcons. Franco set the table with 14 assists and Campos led with 12 digs.
Hannah Badertscher (Irasburg, VT) had Lyndon's only kill. Gonzalez was credited with eight digs.
Lyndon will return to the court on Friday evening when they travel to Vermont State Univerty Catleton for a 6:00 pm non-conference matchup.
