Hornet baseball can't cool off Ferrum bats

Ferrum, VA - Ferrum College dinged Vermont State University Lyndon pitching for 14 hits en route to a 12-2 non-conference baseball win on Wednesday evening.  The Panthers improved to 3-4 on the season with the win, while the Hornets fell to 0-2.

Ferrum pitchers Steven Ritchie and Aulden Richardson held Lyndon to two hits over seven innings.  Meanwhile Davis Yeaman pounded out three hits, drove in five runs, and scored three times for the Panthers.  Clayton Michael added four hits and three runs batted in.

TJ Santaw (Newport, VT) and Dalton Berry (Tavares, FL) had the only Lyndon hits.

The Hornets continue their southern swing with a 3:00 pm game at Eastern Mennonite College on Thursday afternoon.
