Cobleskill, NY - Vermont State University Lyndon couldn't keep up with North Atlantic Conference West Division leading State University of New York at Delhi on Saturday. The Hornets dropped the contest, which was played at the State University of NewYork at Cobleskill, 25-9, 25-10, 25-16. Delhi improved to 9-17 overall and 4-0 in conference. Lyndon fell to 0-18 on the season and 0-5 in the NAC.
Madelyn Diep led the Delhi attack with 12 attacks. Setter Michaella DeCapua notched 24 assists and Katelyn Babcock recorded five digs.
Charlotte Morris (Middletown, DE) had a pair of kills for Lyndon. Kazandra Gonzalez (Norwalk, CA) had four assists and three digs.
Lyndon will wrap up its season next Saturday, when they host Vermont State University Johnson for a pair of matches. The Hornets and Badgers will square off in a NAC contest at 11:00 am, with a non-conference tilt to follow. Lyndon will also celebrate Senior Day next Saturday, as Hornet senior volleyball players will be honored prior to the matches.
