Cobleskill, NY - The State University of New York at Cobleskill cruised to a straight set North Atlantic Conference volleyball victory over Vermont State University Lyndon on Friday evening, winning 25-10, 25-9, 25-11. The host Tigers improved to 5-17 overall and 2-2 in NAC play, while the Hornets fell to 0-17 on the season and 0-4 in conference.
Hallie Gasner, Baylee Kirschberg and Maya Cardenas-Powell paced a balanced Cobleskill attack with six kills apiece. Jade Ward had 13 assists and ten aces and Gasner tacked on 12 aces as Cobleskill combined for 28 aces as a team.
Hannah Badertscher (Irasburg, VT) and Alexis Coutermarsh (Springfield, VT) led Lyndon with three kills each. Kazandra Gonzalez (Norwalk, CA) had five assists and Emily Anderson (Levittown, NY) notched a match best three digs.
Lyndon remains in Cobleskill on Saturday, as they will face the State University of New York at Delhi in another NAC matchup. The first serve is scheduled for 11:00 am.
