Johnson, VT - Vermont State University Johnson cruised to a sweep of Sunday's volleyball doubleheader against Vermont State University Lyndon. The Badgers were 3-0 winners in both a North Atlantic Conference match and the non-conference match that followed. Johnson improved to 6-12 overall and 2-1 in conference, while Lyndon remained winless in 16 matches overall and three NAC contests.
Match #1 - VTSU Johnson 3, VTSU Lyndon 0 (25-4, 25-4, 25-7)
The Badgers breezed to the victory in the opener. Natalia Medina had six kills, seven aces and four digs to lead Johnson. Delaney Gross recorded 13 assists and four digs.
Kiara Mack (Winooski, VT) and Charlotte Morris (Middletown, DE) each had a kill for Lyndon. Morris also led the Hornets with three digs.
Match #2 - VTSU Johnson 3, VTSU Lyndon 0 (25-10, 25-9, 25-10)
Johnson also had control of th non-conference nightcap. Medina led the Badgers with eight kills and eight aces and Gross notched 16 assists.
Mack had Lyndon's only two kills. Malika Wheeler (Brooklyn, NY) had a team best four digs.
Lyndon goes on the road next weekend for a pair of NAC matches at SUNY Cobleskill. The Hornets will face the host Tigers on Friday evening at 7:00 pm, then NAC West leading SUNY Delhi Saturday morning at 11:00 am.
