Lyndonville, VT - The Vermont State University Lyndon volleyball team showed some fight against the State University of New York at Delhi on Saturday afternoon. It wasn't enough, though, as the North Atlantic Conference West Division leading Broncos downed the Hornets in straight sets, 25-14, 25-3, 25-14, to move to 2-0 in NAC play and 7-16 on the season. Lyndon is winless in two conference starts and 12 matches overall.
Sage Renneisen led the Bronco attack with 11 kills. Madelyn Diep and Noelle Placanicia added eight and seven kills respectively, Jaiden Venute and Laurel Poston posted 13 and ten assists, while Audrey Logsdon notched 12 digs.
Kiara Mack (Winooski, VT) led the Hornets with four kills and a pair of blocks. Charlotte Morris (Middletown, DE) had five digs and Alyssa Gerrish (Alburgh, VT) added four digs.
Lyndon will host Fisher College for a non-conference doubleheader on Thursday afternoon. The first match in Stannard Gymnasium will begin at 4:00 pm.
