Delhi, NY - The State University of New York at Delhi scored early and often in Saturday afternoon's North Atlantic Conference men's soccer game with Vermont State University Lyndon. The Broncos scored 11 times in the first half en route to a 14-0 victory over the Hornets. Delhi improved to 5-3-4 on the season and remained unbeaten in conference at 4-0. Lyndon fell to 1-9-1 on the season and 0-4 in the NAC.
Delhi's Matt Serrao scored just over a minute into the game and the Broncos never looked back. John Walsh and Robert Mercilliott scored two goals apiece, as 12 different Delhi players scored. Salvator Meloni and Joseph Musso each played a half in goal, with Musso making a pair of saves.
Lyndon was only able to muster two shots, both by Brooks Enzensperger (Arlington, VT). Hornet goalkeeper D'Amecio Singleton (Savannah, GA) made 18 saves in net.
Lyndon will be on the road again next Saturday when they travel to the State University of New York at Cobleskill for a 1:00 pm Noth Atlantic Conference kickoff.
