Bangor, ME - Husson University held Vermont State University Lyndon without a shot cruising to an 11-0 North Atlantic Conference women's soccer win over the Hornets on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles improved to 6-3 on the season and 2-0 in NAC play. The Hornets remained winless in six games, including three conference contests.
Husson jumped in front on Natalie Aviolla's goal in the 15th minute. Devon St. Louis made it 2-0 with an unassisted goal two minutes later. That's where things stayed until the 42nd minute when Molly Finn scored to send the Eagles into intermission with a 3-0 advantage.
Husson scored eight more times in the second half, as the Hornets were unable to mount an offensive challenge. Husson outshot Lyndon, 53-0, with 33 shots on goal and 11 corner kicks. Hornet goalkeeper made a season high 22 saves in the Lyndon goal.
Lyndon will travel to Vermont State University Johnson for a non-conference contest on Tuesday afternoon. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
