Delhi, NY - Playing without any available substitutions, Northern Vermont University-Lyndon dropped a 20-1 North Atlantic Conference men's lacrosse decision at the State University of New York at Delhi on Friday evening. The host Broncos improved to 6-7 overall and 5-1 in NAC play. Lyndon fell to 1-3 on the season and in conference.
Delhi opened up a 15-0 halftime lead and cruised to the win. Logan Bauer scored four goals and Jagger Beachak added three more to pace th Broncos. Mario Simmons Jr., Nico Rivera, and Brett Fischer chipped in two goals apiece. Bodhi English (Livermore, CA) scored Lyndon's only goal in the final minute of the game. The Hornets' Elias Libby (Rockport, ME) recorded a game high ten ground balls.
Samuel Steng made five saves in goal for Delhi and earned the win. Matthew McGeehan (Milford, CT) made seven saves in the Lyndon goal. Delhi outshot Lyndon 46-11, and held a 38-13 advantage in ground balls.
The Hornets will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they play at the State University of New York at Cobleskill. The opening faceoff is scheduled for 12:00 noon.
