However the Hornets fought back and took their first lead, 13-12, on a Riley Webster (Upton, MA) three at 2:47 of the quarter. Sage Smith (Colebrook, NH) scored the first points of the second quarter, converting a pair of free throws that put Lyndon back in front. The two teams traded the lead several times over the next few minutes before Husson closed the half on an 8-1 run to take a 32=-25 lead into intermission.
The Eagles came out of the locker room and quickly seized control of the game with a 15-2 run over the first four minutes. Sophia McVicar's three-pointer capped the run and made it 50-27 Eagles with 5:55 to go in the period. A Smith jumper temporarily stopped the bleeding, but Husson continued to pull away, putting up 30 points in the frame to build a 62-35 lead entering the final quarter. From there, the Eagles cruised to the win.
