Northfield, VT - Norwich University defeated Vermont State University Lyndon, 91-77, in Tuesday evening's non-conference men's basketball game. With the win, the Cadets improved to 4-2 on the season. The Hornets remain winless in seven starts.
Kohlby Murray led all scorers with 22 points, pacing Norwich. Joe Joe DuBrul added 20 points and Owen Liss chipped in with 13 points and six rebounds. Rodrick Pearson also reached double figures with ten points.
Lyndon placed five players in double figures, led by Owen Traynor (Rutland, VT), who scored 16 points. Mondwell Bukle (Pyeongtaek, South Korea) added 14 points and grabbed a team best six rebounds. Tavarius Vance (Barre, VT) finished with 13 points while Aiden Trapani (Deltona, FL) scored 11 points and dished out five assists. Gregory Gonyea Jr. (Dolgeville, NY) finished with ten points.
The Hornets will open North Atlantic Conference play on Friday evening when they host Husson University at 5:30 pm.
