Castine, ME - Vermont State University Lyndon never got anything going in Saturday's North Atlantic conference volleyball match at Maine Maritime Academy. The host Mariners, the six-time defending conference champions, cruised to a 25-7, 25-3, 25-5 victory over the Hornets to improve to 11-3 on the season and 6-0 in conference play. Lyndon remains winless in 11 outings, including three NAC contests.
Maine Maritime had a balanced attack all match. Chloe Weeks topped the Mariners with six of their 33 kills. Katie Albritton recorded 15 assists nine service aces, and five digs. Sydney Rich and Sydney Williams also had five digs.
Kiara Mack (Winooski, VT) had a pair of kills and three digs for Lyndon. Gray Hoselton (Fargo, ND) also had two kills.
The Hornets will complete their most distant road trip of the season on Sunday when they travel to the University of Maine at Presque Isle for a pair of matches. The first contest will be a NAC showdown and will begin at noon. The second contest will be a non-conference match and will follow immediately.
