Lyndonville, VT - The State University of Delhi scored early and often on Saturday afternoon, rolling to a 14-0 North Atlantic Conference men's soccer crossover win over Vermont State University Lyndon. The Broncos improved to 5-2-4 overall and 2-1-2 in conference play while the Hornets fell to 0-9 on the season and 0-4 in conference.
Jaquan Williams had a big game for Delhi, racking up four goals and an assist. Gabriel Monterrosa and Sinas Bouzikos each scored twice and Michael Williams Jr., Matt Serrao, and Erik Kleczkowski found the back of the net one time apiece.
Delhi controlled play throughout, firing 47 shots while holding Lyndon without a shot. Lyndon goalkeeper Robert McDonald (Arnold, MD) made seven saves in net. Salvatore Maloni and Ronald Zavala each played a half in net for Delhi and earned the combined shutout without facing a shot.
The Hornets will host another NAC crossover on Sunday afternoon when the State University of New York at Cobleskill comes to Varsity Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 pm.
