Lyndonville, VT - Plymouth State University opened the second half of Tuesday evening's women's college basketball game with a 14-4 run, breaking open a close game with Northern Vermont university-Lyndon. The Panthers then cruised to a 65-47 victory, improving their record to 5-10 on the season. Lyndon fell to 7-8 on the campaign.
Sophie George paced Plymouth with 17 points and nine rebounds. Jalen Cook recorded a double double with 12 points and 13 rebounds and added five assists. Raven Premont also reached double figures with 12 points. Sage Smith (Colebrook, NH) was the only Lyndon player in double figures, finishing with 15 points. Saleena Porter (St. Johnsbury, VT) pulled down 13 rebounds in the losing effort.
The Hornets return to North Atlantic Conference play on Friday evening when they host Thomas College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
