Lyndonville, VT - The Northern Vermont University-Lyndon volleyball team continued to show signs of progress during Saturday's non-conference tri-match losses to Bay Path University and Massachusetts College of Arts. The Hornets reached a new season high for team points scored in a match, but fell in straight sets to both the Wildcats and the Trailblazers. MCLA was a four-set winner over Bay Path in the day's other match. MCLA improved to 6-2 on the season. Bay Path is now 5-7, while Lyndon remains winless in 11 matches this season.
Bay Path 3, NVU-Lyndon 0 (25-7, 25-14, 25-10)
Anastasiya Tsetsko had a big match for Bay Path with 14 kills. Setter KyLee Finch recorded 15 assists, while Lilly Kibbe and Beyhan Gonzalez had 16 and 12 digs respectively. For Lyndon, Calysta Lohman (Seward, AK) finished with five kills. Charlotte Morris (Middletown, DE) had seven assists and Seairra Anderson (Somersworth, NJ) had 12 digs.
MCLA 3, NVU-Lyndon 0 (25-12, 25-15, 25-10)
Chloie Garber led a balanced MCLA attack with nine kills. Shannon O'Brien had ten assists and Ellie Walter-Goodspeed had 17 digs. Lohman, Morris, and Anderson again led the Hornets, finishing with six kills, seven assists, and 11 digs respectively.
The Hornets will travel to Framingham State University for a non-conference match on Tuesday evening. Match time is 7:00 pm.
