Lyndonville, VT - The Northern Vermont University-Lyndon volleyball team opened their four-game home stand by taking on Anna Maria College in a non-conference match this evening. Although the Hornets had some bright spots, it wasn't enough, as they fell to the AMCATS in straight sets, 25-11, 25-9, 25-12. It was Anna Maria's first win in five games, while Lyndon remained winless in eight outings this season.
Jana Hunt led Anna Maria with five kills and added seven digs. Setter Isabella Sand posted 13 assists, while libero Serena Dennis recorded ten digs.
Calysta Lohman (Seward, AK) had four kills, five aces, and seven digs for the Hornets. Setter Charlotte Morris (Middletown, DE) had six assists, while libero Seairra Anderson (Somersworth, NH) tallied 12 digs.
The Hornets continue their home stand on Thursday evening when they host Elms College at 6:30 pm.
