Waterville, ME - Northern Vermont University-Lyndon dropped a decision to Gordon College on Saturday afternoon in their final match at the Colby College Volleyball Tournament. The Fighting Scots came away with a straight set victory, 25-11, 25-5, 25-8. Gordon improved to 2-5 on the season while Lyndon remains winless in seven matches.
Maggie Rejmer posted six kills, five aces, and five digs to lead Gordon. Sophia Thagouras also recorded five aces and Olivia Flemingnotched ten assists.
Sophomore Calysta Lohman (Seward, AK) led the Hornet attack with five kills. Charlotte Morris (Middletown, DE) had six assists and Emily Anderson (Levittown, NY) and Ariez Pimentel (San Leandro, CA) had five and four digs respectively.
The Hornets return home on Tuesday evening for the first of four straight home matches. Anna Maria College will visit Stannard Gymnasium for a 6:00 pm matchup.
