Lyndonville, VT - The Northern Vermont University-Lyndon women's soccer team was unable to generate any offense in their Sunday afternoon matchup with Paul Smith's College. The result was a 6-0 victory for the visiting Bobcats. Paul Smith's improved their record to 2-0 on the season while the Hornets fell to 0-2.
Sam Severing had a huge game for the Bobcats. She scored three goals, two on breakaways and one on a penalty kick. In addition, she crossed the ball to Haven Bradt for an assist on Paul Smith's first goal. Hayleigh Gates added a goal and an assist for Paul Smith's.
Lyndon goalkeeper Karly Cordwell (Milan, NH) made 11 saves. Her Paul Smith's counterpart, Anna Thrasher, didn't face a shot, as the Bobcats outshot the Hornets, 25-0.
Lyndon will return to action next Saturday when they host Thomas College in the North Atlantic Conference opener. Kickoff on Varsity Field is set for 1:00 pm
