Box Score BANGOR, Maine – The Lyndon men's soccer team dropped a conference match to Husson University on Sunday afternoon, 3-0.
After playing even in the first half, Husson broke into the scoring column in the 53rd when Phil Frost picked up a goal on a feed into the box from Jimmy Fitzpatrick. Just six minutes later it was Frost's turn to set up Josh Bellomo for the score. In the 73rd minute, Miguel Caballero found the back of the net from 12 yards out off a pass from Bellomo.
Matt LaClair (Beekmantown, N.Y.) recorded eight saves in the loss for the Hornets.
Cody Gross picked up his first career shutout in the three-save win for the Husson Eagles (6-3, 3-1 NAC).
The Hornets (1-8, 0-4 NAC) travel to play Norwich University Tuesday night at 7:00pm.
