LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Lyndon rebounded from an 8-2 loss in the opener of its North Atlantic Conference opening doubleheader Monday and walked off with a 6-5 victory over the University of Maine at Farmington.

Jena Finnegan (Keeseville, N.Y.), Jillian Emery (Johnson, Vt.) and Julia McNeil (Lowell, Mass.) pounded out two hits each in support of starting pitcher Katie Davis (North Haverhill, N.H.), who went the distance to get the win. Emery has a double and two runs batted in for Lyndon (5-9, 1-1) while Barski added a double and an RBI.

Amy Jones had three hits for the Beavers (4-5, 2-4) and the tandem of Michelle Cote and Lauren Perkins added two each. Emma Vaillancourt went six innings in taking the loss.

In the opener, Cote had three hits to propel UMaine-Farmington to victory. Jones and Kaitlyn Bartlett chipped in two hits each for the winners with Bartlett collecting a home run, double and three RBIs.

Davis had two hits for the Hornets and the duo of McNeil and Jen Lynch (Portland, Maine)swatted a double each.

Emily Soule went seven innings to get the win while Meghan Gadapee (Littleton, N.H.) took the loss.
