JOHNSON, Vt. – Lyndon State split a pair of matches Saturday, defeating to host Johnson State 3-1 before falling to Colby-Sawyer 3-0 at Carter Gymnasium on the campus of Johnson State.

Lyndon rolled past the Badgers 25-23, 23-25, 25-13, 25-19 while Colby-Sawyer took the sets 25-4, 25-7, 25-9. Colby-Sawyer toppled Lyndon St. 3-0 with set scores of 25-5, 25-13, 25-13.

Despite Johnson State taking the second set, visiting Lyndon oulasted the Badgers to come out victorious. Lyndon saw Morgan Diltz (Moultonborough, N.H.) post an impressive 19 service aces while teammate Abbey Greene (Exeter, R.I.) dominated with 10 kills.

Johnson saw nine kills from sophomore Andrea Williams.

Colby-Sawyer 3, Lyndon State 0
Against Lyndon, Emilee McBride hit .700 with eight kills, while Courtney O'Hara hit .857 with six kills. Ally Le-Bruno recorded eight aces.

Lyndon will face arch-rival Castleton on Saturday, Nov. 2 in the quarterfinal round of the North Atlantic Conference playoffs. A ame time has yet to be determined
