Box Score 2 Leicester, Mass. - Heather LaValley
(Northfield, Vt.) and Alise Vandal (Brattleboro, Vt.) had four hits
each to propel Lyndon to its first victory of the season, a 10-4
triumph over Becker College in the nightcap of a doubleheader held
on the Hawks home field.
Kathy Kline (Coventry, R.I.) and Natalia Shams (Swampscott,
Mass.) chipped in three hits each and Jaclyn Toney (Brattleboro,
Vt.) had two. Katelyn Willey (Lancaster, N.H.) was credited with
the win, going seven strong innings while striking out four.
In the opener, Shannon Tibbetts four four hits, and the duo of
Felicia Laufer and Amanda Fogaren added two each as the Hawks
recorded a 15-7 win over the Hornets. Larissa Paula, Jessica Lewis
and Jessica Daniels added two hits each and Lewis recived credit
for the win.
Shams, who also took the loss, had three hits to lead
Lyndon.
