Box Score 2 LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Husson scored early
and often to earn a doubleheader sweep of Lyndon in North Atlantic
Conference softball action. The Eagles won Game 1 by a score of
13-5 in five inings before earning a 10-0 win in five inings in
Game 2.
In the opener, the Eagles jumped out to a 10-0 after two innings
of play and coasted to the victory behind the pitching of Kody
Lyon. She allowed three earned runs on three hits while fanning
five and striking out two. Kaitlyn Willey
(Lancaster, N.H.) took the loss for Lyndon.
Cassie Berry, Brianna Webster and Diann Ramsey had two hits each
for Husson and Willey had two hits and three runs-batted for the
Hornets.
In the nightcap, Nicole Sargent went four strong innings,
allowing only one hit while striking out four to get the win. Megan
Richard pitched one inning of hitless relief to seal the
victory.
Dorothy Cameron had three hits, including a triple, for the
Eagles and Heather LaValley (Northfield, Vt.) had
the lone Lyndon hit in the game. Natalia Shams
(Swampscott, Mass.) was tagged with the loss.
