LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Lyndon State outscored New England College by 20 points in the second half to earn 101-79 victory in men's collegiate basketball action at Stannard Gymnasium.

Jose Fortunato (Boston, Mass.) had a double-double for the Hornets with 15 points, 11 rebounds, two steals, and a game-high six assists. Jason Gray (East Thetford, Vt.) collected 19 points, nine rebounds, and two steals while Avery King (Pawtuckett, R.I.) had a game-high 27 points. Ben Sackett (Lyndonville, Vt.)scored 16 points and O'Bee Byrd (Waterbury, Conn.) grabbed 11 rebounds.

Joe Faragher led the Pilgrims with 20 points, a game-high 12 rebounds, and two steals. Shane Hennessy contributed seven points, six rebounds and two assists, while teammates Andrew MacDonald and Rafael Salado tallied 12 and 10 points, respectively.
