P.J. Danforth (Concord, Vt.) gave the Hornets a 1-0 lead at the 5:35 mark of the first half when he scored off assists from Lamumba and Darren Roberge (Sheldon Springs, Vt.). Less than 10 minutes later, Lamumba tallied his seventh goal of the year on a through ball from Bradley Patten (Derby Line, Vt.) to extend the LSC lead to 2-0.

After a 15-minute weather delay and halftime, Lumumba closed out the scoring in the contest with a goal at 67:42. Uriah Burhans (Grafton, N.Y.) was credited with an assist on the play.

Hornet goalkeeper Ian Oliver (Westport, Mass.) , playing his final game in a LSC uniform, did not make a save in the contest and was credited with a shutout. Eagle's goalie Nate Kishbaugh had six saves in the game as Lyndon outshot Green Mountain 21-0.
