Vermont State University Lyndon

Steven Friscia was named VTSU Lyndon's head volleyball coach in June of 2026.  A 2023 graduate of Northern Vermont University-Lyndon, Friscia served as the Hornets' assistant coach in 2024, and was a student assistant coach as an undergraduate in 2022.  In high school he was a two-year varsity volleyball player at Smithtown High School West in Smithtown, NY.

A four-year member and two year captain of Lyndon's baseball team, Friscia has also served as an assistant coach with that program for the past three seasons.  In 2026 he oversaw the Hornet outfielders as Lyndon earned its first North Atlantic Conference playoff berth since 2019.  As a player, Friscia appeared in 74 games for the green & gold and tallied three home runs in his career.

Friscia earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and an Associate of Science degree in Human Services in 2023.  In addition to coaching the Hornets, he works as the Restorative Justice Coordinator at The Arlington School in St. Johnsbury, VT.
