After serving as assistant coach for the past eight seasons, Rob Carey was been promoted to the position of head coach of the Lyndon men’s soccer program in the Spring of 2015

In his career with the Hornets, Carey was named the Sunrise Conference Player of the Year in 2005 and garnered the team’s Most Valuable Player Award the same year. A graduate of nearby Concord High, he was the Vermont Gatorade Player of the Year and was also named to the Adidas/National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-American team in 2000.

Carey graduated from Lyndon in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and is currently employed as a Mental Health Counselor at Lyndon Institute through a program sponsored by Northeast Kingdom Health Services.
