2017-18:  Entering third intercollegiate season.

2016-17:  Transferred back to Lyndon between semesters and played in 18 games, starting five times...  Averaged 4.9 points and 3.8 rebounds per contest...  Scored 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in his first game back against New England College on 1/3...  Made his first start of the season on 1/19 at Pine Manor, where he recorded a double double in 31 minutes, tallying a career high 24 points and a season best 11 rebounds while shooting 10/17...  Scored eight points and grabbed six rebounds in 23 minutes at Maine-Farmington on 1/27...  Scored six points and grabbed eight rebounds at Green Mountain on 2/18...  Played in nine games the first semester at Western Connecticut State, where he averaged 9.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per contest.

2015-16:  Enrolled at Lyndon and joined the team for the spring semester, playing in 18 games and starting 14 times...  Was named North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Year...  Averaged 10.4 points and 5.9 rebounds per game...  Made his first collegiate start at Maine-Farmington on 1/9, scoring 7 points and grabbing 9 rebounds in 31 minutes...  Reached double figures for the first time with 10 points against Maine Maritime on 1/15...  Scored 12 points in 25 minutes against Middlebury on 1/26...  Scored 16 points in 25 minutes vs. Thomas on 1/30...  Scored 18 points on 7/10 shooting in 31 minutes at Maine Maritime on 2/6...  Recorded his first career double double with 21 points on 9/16 shooting and a career high 15 rebounds in 34 minutes against New England College on 2/10...  Scored 16 points, going 7/11 from the floor, vs. Johsnon on 2/13...  Played a season high 35 minutes, scoring 15 points and grabbing eight rebounds at Castleton on 2/18...  Picked up his second double double in the season finale at Johnson, tallying 21 points and 12 rebounds and adding a career best three assists in 24 minutes.

High School:  Was an All-Conference performer in each of his three varsity seasons at Bristol Eastern, playing for coach Mike Giovinazzo...  Averaged 24 points and 12 rebounds per game as a senior...  Also played club basketball for the Bristol Ballers.

Personal:  Son of Jessica Ortiz...  Has four sisters and one brother...  Uses basketball as a way to push himself with academics.  Says basketball is his motivation, and without the grades he knows it would be taken away from him.  Working hard in the classroom is major because it pushes him to stay focus and determined....  Athletic goal is to win a NAC championship...  Most memorable athletic moment the first game of his senior season in high school, where he scored 32 points and grabbed 22 rebounds against Manchester...  People he respects and admires most in sports are his teammates because without the respect for each other it will show in game settings....  Favorite TV show is Hawaii 5.0...  Favorite musical performers are Khalid and Kap G...  Favorite activity outside of basketball is being social with friends...  He is a very good cook, which many people find surprising.
