Vermont State University Lyndon

Andre Eason Jr. is entering his third season on the Hornet coaching staff, and this season was promoted to Recruiting Coordinator.  Eason joined the staff in the Fall of 2018 upon his graduation from Lyndon State College, where he played baseball and earned degrees in Applied Psychology & Human Services and Criminal Justice.

During his time playing at Lyndon, Eason was selected as a North Atlantic Conference First team All-Conference Center Fielder his junior and senior seasons.  His senior year, Eason was named to the D3Baseball.com All New England Team and was selected to play in the American Baseball Coaches Association Rawlings D1 vs. D2/D3 All-Star game.  Eason currently holds several all-time records for the Lyndon Baseball program, including:

• Highest batting average in a single season (.411)
• Most hits in a single season (62)
• Most hits in program history (175)

Eason totaled 516 at-bats in his career with the Hornets.  He has a lifetime batting average of .339 and a career On-base percentage of .402.

Eason will work closely with the outfielders on defensive technique and mechanics.  He will also be working with all hitters on approaches and mental game.  As Recruiting Coordinator, Eason works closely with Head Coach Reece Tanguay in targeting and recruiting student-athletes to NVU-Lyndon and the Hornet baseball program.
