Box Score 1 Lynn, MA - The Vermont State University Lyndon baseball team traveled to the Boston area for a pair of non-conference games today. The Hornets came away with a 9-3 victory over the University of Maine at Augusta this afternoon, before dropping a 6-2 decision to Fisher College this evening. Lyndon is now 3-78 on the season. UMaine-Augusta fell to 9-21, while Fisher improved to 9-11.
Game 1 - VTSU Lyndon 9, UMaine-Augusta 3
Graduate student left hander Carlos Rodriguez (La Mirada, CA) pitched seven shutout innings to lead the Hornets to victory. Rodriguez gave up six hits while stirking out seven without a walk. Ryan Alt (Poultney, VT), Jeren Harrison (Charlotte, NC), and Austin Bigelow (East Hampton, CT) drove in two runs apiece.
Zach Fair had three hits for UMA and Elias Murray added a pair of hits. Moose starter Amar Douidi took the loss.

Lyndon will take on the same two teams on Sunday afternoon. First pitch against UMaine-Augusta is set for 1:30 pm. Lyndon and Fisher will close out the weekend at 5:00 pm.
