Lyndonville, VT - Thomas College broke open a close game late to spoil Senior Night for the Vermont State University Lyndon women's basketball team on Tuesday evening.  The Terriers led by only two at halftime, but took control of the contest with a 10-0 run midway through the third quarter and cruised to a 73-59 North Atlantic Conference victory.  Thomas improved to 14-9 overall and 10-6 in NAC play, while Lyndon fell to 13-10 on the season and 8-8 in conference.

Pryelle Kesse-Beda was the only Terrier in double figures, finishing with a game high 28 points and seven rebounds.  Kay McLellan finished with nine points and ten rebounds and Deja Hamilton dished out six assists.

Kiara Mack (Winooski, VT) posted a double double to lead Lyndon, scoring 15 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.  Skylar Begay (Tucson, AZ) tallied 12 points, seven rebounds, and six assists and Ella Huntington (Taylorsville, UT) also notched double figures with 11 points.

Prior to Tuesday's contest Lyndon's three seniors, Mack, Huntington, and Kadienne Whitcomb (West Burke, VT), were recognized for their contributions to Lyndon women's basketball.  They were greeted on the court by family, friends, teammates, and coaches, and presented with gifts of appreciation.

Lyndon wraps up the regular season with a pair of games in Maine this weekend, starting with a 7:30 pm Friday night tip off at Husson University.  The Hornets will follow that with a 3:00 pm game at the University of Maine at Presque Isle on Saturday.
