Cambridge, MA - Lesley University took down The Vermont State University Lyndon Women's Tennis team in both of their matches this afternoon. The Lynx took both a North Atlantic Conference match win and a non-conference by scores of 7-0 and 6-1 respectively. The Lynx moved to 3-6 overall and 2-2 in conference. The Hornets move to 0-6 overall and 0-3 in conference.

Match #1 - Lesley 7 - VTSU Lyndon 0

Lesley kept Lyndon at bay for the first match sweeping both the singles and doubles. 

The No. 1 pair of Mary Osucha and Luca Boyce defeated Hawa Mubarak (Burlington, VT) and Chloe Murphy (Manchester, NH) 6-0. In No. 2 doubles Anna Stamp and Hayley Jones defeated Lindsey Gannon (Beverly, MA) and Megan Richardson (Essex Junction, VT) 6-1. The third doubles was awarded by forfeit to Michal Nuriyev and Emily Laperriere. 

Lesley swept the singles matches as well with Osucha, Stamp, Jones, and Laperriere all taking their respective matches and Nuriyev and Pamela Manriquez picking up the forfeit wins. 

Match #2 - Lesley 6, VTSU Lyndon 1 

Lesley also won the second match, but not without a bit of fight from the Hornets. After sweeping the doubles results in straight sets, The Lynx got the win in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd singles and the forfeit win in 5th and 6th singles.

Fighting through a bee sting, Megan Richardson delivered a sting of her own, defeating Michal Nuriyev 6-1, 6-0 in 4th singles. 

The Hornets will travel to Simmons University on Sunday to play a pair of matches, The doubles play will kick off at 12:00 pm.
