New London, NH - Colby-Sawyer College scored five times in the first 29 minutes and held Vermont State University Lyndon without a shot all game en route to an 8-0 non-conference victory over the Hornets on Tuesday evening. Colby-Sawyer improved to 1-3-1 on the season while Lyndon remained winless in four outings.
Kaden Lewis scored three goals and Damian Moreno added a pair to pace the Chargers. Joe Buchanan (McCordsville, IN) made six saves in goal for the Hornets before being relieved by Parker Pierce (Woodstock, VT), who made one save.
The Hornets return to the pitch next Tuesday when they travel to the University of Maine at Farmington to open North Atlantic Conference play. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 pm.
