VTSU Lyndon softball adds Floridian Riley Jackson

Lyndonville, VT - Riley Jackson (Eustis, FL) of Tavares High School in Tavares, FL, has deposited and committed to the Vermont State University Lyndon softball program for 2025-26.  She will study Communications.

Jackson is a four-year varsity softball player, the last three of which have been at Tavares.  She has played a variety of positions for the Bulldogs.  Jackson alo played varsity volleyball at Tavares.

Jackson has been an excellent and very active student at Tavares.  She is a National Society of High School Scholars scholar, a National Honor Society scholar, active in student government, and a Red Riot Club member.

VTSU Lyndon head softball coach Kevin Valentine believes that Jackson will make a positive impact on the Hornet program.  "We are very excited to welcome Riley to our Hornets softball family.  Riley is going to be a great addition to our team chemistry.  She is a top notch person and it was a pleasure to meet Riley at her in person visit to campus.  Riley is considered a utility player by me who will help us with her speed as well as her bat . Riley is a very coachable athlete who will get better everyday and make an impact on the field as soon as she arrives."

Jackson's coach at Tavares, Valarie Neu, added "Her dedication and hard work on the field are truly inspiring.  She's not only committed to improving every day, but she also brings an infectious energy that makes the game enjoyable for everyone around her."

Jackson joins Gianna Caruso (North Billerica, MA)  in VTSU Lyndon's 2025-26 class.  The Hornets expect to announce additional; commitments in the near future.
