North Myrtle Beach, SC - For the second day in a row the Vermont State University Lyndon softball team came up a run short against the State University of New York at Delhi at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic. The Broncos rallied from a three-run deficit to edge the Hornets, 10-9, and improve to 4-0 on the season. The Hornets, who also fell to Grand Rapids Community College in an exhibition game, fell to 0-2.

Game 2 - SUNY Delhi 10, VTSU Lyndon 9
Trailing 9-6, Delhi plated four runs in the top of the fifth inning and made the one-run advantage stand up. Stephanie Huckabee and Danielle Seymour had three hits apiece for the Broncos. Alethea Ferrara pitched four innings in relief to pick up the win.
Riley McNamara (Manchester, NH) had a single and a double and four runs batted in for Lyndon. Blake Southworth (Bethel, VT) also had two hits and Claudia Knapp (Howell, NJ) drove in a pair of runs. Bailey Quire (Gainesville, FL) started in the circle and took the loss.
The Hornets will continue their stint in Myrtle Beach on Thursday when they host take on Vermont State University Johnson at 9:00 am and Massachusetts Maritime Academy at 1:00 pm.
