Waterville, ME - Northern Vermont University-Lyndon women's lacrosse players Kiara Mack (Winooski, VT), Libby Webb (Wells, ME), and Isabel Bourgeois (St. Johnsbury, VT) were among those honored by the North Atlantic Conference when the conference announced its annual women's lacrosse awards today. Conference coaches voted Mack and Webb to the All-Conference Second Team Defense. Bourgeois was named to the Sportsmanship Team.
Mack, a freshman defender, led the Hornets with 22 caused turnovers and 38 draw controls. She also recorded 22 ground balls and two assists. Mack ranked sixth in the NAC in caused turnovers per game (2.2) and ninth in draw controls per game (3.8).
Webb, also a freshman defender, recorded 19 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers this season.
Bourgeois, a sophomore midfielder, scored seven goals and added an assist this season. She added 11 ground balls, six caused turnovers, and five draw controls. Selection to the NAC Sportsmanship Team is reserved for student athletes who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The honorees are individuals who have positively affected the lacrosse culture and game environment and whose behavior clearly demonstrates sportsmanship and integrity that goes beyond the playing rules and etiquette.

The Hornets were winless in ten games this season. Mack, Webb, and Bourgeois are expected to return and be among the core of next season's team.
