Johnson, VT - Northern Vermont University-Lyndon defeated its sister campus, Northern Vermont University-Johnson, 68-57, on Sunday afternoon in the championship game of the Northern Vermont University Tip-Off Classic.  With the win the Hornets improved to 2-0 on the season, while the Badgers fell to 1-1.

Lyndon's Lea Crompton (Dunbarton, NH) was named the tournament Most Valuable Player.  Riann Fortin (Derby, VT) was named to the All-Tournament Team.

The Hornets will return to the court on Wednesday when they travel to Colby-Sawyer College for a non-conference matchup.  Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
