Lyndonville, VT - The Northern Vermont University-Lyndon volleyball season came to a close with a North Atlantic Conference match against Northern Vermont University-Johnson on Monday night. The visiting Badgers swept the Hornets, 25-12, 25-17, 25-18, to clinch second place in the NAC East Division with a 5-3 conference record. Johnson also improved to 8-10 overall. The Hornets finish winless in 22 matches, including eight conference affairs.
Christina Betham had a big night up front for the Badgers, finishing with 13 kills. Setter Mason Lores recorded 19 assists. Kersene Austinville (Federalsburg, MD) paced the Hornets with five kills. Kiana Jones (Wilbraham, MA) added four kills and a match high nine digs and Charlotte Morris (Middletown, DE) ended with 12 assists.
The Hornets expect to have all of their very young roster, consisting of seven freshmen, a sophomore, and a junior, back as the foundation of the 2022 team.
