Hornet women unable to keep up with Thomas.

Waterville, ME - The Northern Vermont University-Lyndon women's soccer team couldn't get anything going on Saturday afternoon, falling 6-0 to Thomas College in a North Atlantic Conference matchup.  The Hornets fall to 1-9 on the season and 1-4 in conference play while the Terriers improve to 3-7-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the NAC.

Thomas got on the scoreboard in the 17th minute when Nikki Bradstreet converted off of a pass from Kayla Sellars.  Sellars picked up her second assist when Katriana Pratt scored in the 35th minute.  Katherine Hoving's unassisted goal in the 37th minute sent Thomas into halftime with a 3-0 lead.  Bradstreet, Hoving, and Pratt each added second half tallies to account for the final score.

The Terriers outshot the Hornets 27-4 and held an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks.  Hornet goalkeeper Victoria McCormack (East Lyme, CT) made ten saves while Thomas keepers Isabelle Lang and Lauren Bartlett each made one stop in posting the combined shutout.

The Hornets return to the pitch at Maine Maritime Academy on Sunday afternoon.  The game is scheduled for a 2:30 pm start.
