Castleton, VT - The Lyndon State College women's volleyball team was defeated, 25-10, 25-6, 25-12, in a non-conference match at Castleton University on Friday evening.  The Hornets fall to 2-13, while the Spartans improve to 4-10.

Junior Courtney Gagne (Plainfield, MA) had a pair of kills for the Hornets.  Senior Alexis Walker (Groton, CT) recorded eight digs, while junior Meghan Campo (Essex Junction, VT) added seven digs and a pair of assists.  Kimberly Jackson (South Windsor, CT) led Castleton with six kills and seven digs.  Maria Jackson (Sewark, AK) also had seven digs, and was credited for eleven assists.

The Hornets are off until Saturday, October 14th, when they travel to Colby-Sawyer College for a North Atlantic Conference quad match.  Castleton will travel to Green Mountain College on Tuesday.
