NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Lyndon State College women's volleyball team lost to Norwich University 3-0 Wednesday night at Andrews Gymnasium.  The Cadets took down the Hornets 25-14, 25-15, 25-19 as Lyndon committed 20 errors out of 84 attack attempts.

Offensively, the Hornets were led by Kelleigh Murtagh (Merrimack, N.H.) who posted seven kills while also chipping in six digs.  Abbey Greene (Exeter, R.I.) and Alexis Walker (Groton, Conn.) added four kills each.  Gwyneth Stahl (Whitinsville, Mass.) recorded a team-high 10 assists and 12 digs for the Hornets.

 The Cadets (3-8, 0-3 GNAC) were led by Tara Lyons (Pocassett, Mass.) who recorded a team-high 13 kills with three service aces for a .462 attack percentage while adding two total blocks and three digs. Emily Oliver (Sagamore Hills, Ohio) and Courtney Quinn (Taunton, Mass.) each recorded seven kills with Oliver dishing out a team-high 11 digs on the night.  Katie Crane (Avon, N.Y.) tallied 25 of the 31 assists for Norwich.

The Hornets (2-6, 0-0 NAC) travel to New London, N.H. Saturday to take on Johnson and Colby-Sawyer as conference play begins.
